CMA CGM reorganizes Europe-West Africa route

 

CMA CGM announced changes to its Europe-West Africa network with rotating updates to MEDWAX, EURAF3 and WAZZAN services. The French shipping company said the MEDWAX service will be operational within 35 days with five vessels with a container capacity of 2,200 to 2,800 TEUs and will undergo the following rotations:

 

Barcelona (Spain) - Marseille (France) - Valencia (Spain) -Tanger (Morocco) - Algeciras (Spain) -Dakar (Senegal) - Conakry (Guinea) - Abidjan (Ivory Coast) - Barcelona

The NewYorker, a 2500 TEU vessel, will be the first of the updated MEDWAX rotation ships and is expected to arrive in Tanger on October 29 and Abidjan on November 15.

 

In addition, CMA CGM noted that EURAF 3 will be operational within 42 days with six vessels with a container capacity of 1,600 to 1,700 TEUs. The updated EURAF 3 will undergo the following port rotation:

 

Algeciras -- Tanger -- Freetown (Siera Leonne) -- Monrovia (Liberia) -- SAN Pedro (Cote d 'Ivoire) -- Banjul (Gambia) -- Algecilas

The 1600 TEU Diane A will be used on the first voyage of the updated EURAF 3 along with the ETA at Algeciras on 30 October.

 

In addition, CMA CGM has announced changes to the WAZZAN service, which will operate in 35 days with five vessels with capacity of 1,300 to 1,700 TEUs and will undergo the following rotations:

 

Algeciras-Tanger- Nouakchott (Mauritania) - Dakar - Bissau (Guinea-Bissau) - Nouadib (Mauritania) - Las Palmas (Spain) -Algecilas

1350 TEU CMA CGM Nouadhibou will become the first container ship in the WAZZAN service renewal port rotation on October 28 in Alkisiras, along with ETA.
